Porky Pig

While growing up, we fondly remember watching Porky Pig, along with the other characters from the Looney Tunes franchise, go on adventure after adventure. We also remember trying to replicate his signature line, "Th-th-th-that's all folks!”, to varying levels of success.

Peppa Pig might be over a decade old, but is still very much loved by the young ’uns these days. Peppa even went viral as she has an entire movie, ‘Peppa Pig Celebrates Chinese New Year’, dedicated to her in line with the festive season.

Miss Piggy

Miss Piggy’s debut in The Muppet Show was impactful, to say the least. Not only was her diva behaviour a major talking point, but she also practiced karate and peppered her dialogue with French phrases, and even moved to Paris and became the editor for Vogue after the Muppets disbanded.

Piglet

Who can forget Piglet? Although he’s a “Very Small Animal” (his words, not ours), he tried to be brave and conquer his fears, especially in matters that would help his friends. He even agreed to let Owl have his house after his house was blown down, and moved in with Pooh shortly after.

Babe grew up with Border Collies, which made him believe that he too could do the work of a sheepdog. Against all odds, he manages to come up tops in the local sheepherding competition, proving that you can achieve more than what others think you can do.

Special Mention: Zhu Bao Bao

We must admit, we’re a little biased when it comes to Zhu Bao Bao (that’s what you get when you see him everywhere, including in our office), but Mediacorp’s Chinese New Year mascots aren’t only adorable - they also signify Prosperity, Happiness and Health.

Special Mention: Pumbaa

Yes, we know, Pumbaa isn’t a pig - he’s a warthog, but his endearing nature and unwavering loyalty to Simba in The Lion King is definitely worth a spot in this list.
